To further serve our clients, Maslon maintains membership in Meritas (formerly known as Commercial Law Affiliates), an international network of nearly 200 independent, mid-sized commercial law firms in principal cities of the United States and the world.  As a member of this network, Maslon can support client needs virtually anywhere in the world via a Meritas member law firm.

The Meritas network provides access and coverage on a national and international basis for legal service needs, including patent and intellectual property rights.  With over 5,000 lawyers in more than 60 countries worldwide, Meritas firms are leaders in their respective markets.  In addition to providing sophisticated international business advice, Meritas international affiliate firms understand their local business practices and the subtleties of cross-cultural transactions. 

Membership in Meritas is by invitation only. Meritas has extensive processes to screen and monitor member performance based on continual evaluation by clients. Each member law firm is held accountable to rigorous service requirements. Firms must maintain high levels of client satisfaction, adhere to practice composition guidelines, submit to recertification and follow progressive code of ethics to maintain their memberships. Unlike many loose legal groups, Meritas discontinues membership for firms who do not maintain these standards. These high standards allow clients using Meritas member firms the confidence of knowing their legal work will be handled reliably and consistently.
