Maslon's Private Equity Group is dedicated to serving private equity and venture capital firms as they structure investments. Our team explores with each client its goals and assists to structure a transaction to accomplish its objectives. We make sure to provide the type and level of service that private equity and venture capital firms need, "right-sizing" our services to our clients' needs. We staff each matter with senior experienced attorneys who involve other team members with expertise in a wide range of areas as appropriate to provide the most efficient service. Our Private Equity Group members represent private equity and venture capital funds in merger, acquisition and divestiture transactions, distressed company investments and mezzanine and subordinated financings. Our lawyers have a wealth of knowledge and experience in structuring, negotiating and documenting such transactions, and can provide comprehensive advice and representation on all related issues.

After the transaction is completed our multi-disciplinary team provides high quality service in each area the target requires, including technology (licensing, trademark, copyright and technology/web-related agreements, manufacturing/distribution/supply agreements, employment counseling (including non-competes), benefits, equity compensation plans, real estate, litigation (including prevention counseling) and federal and state tax matters.
