- Represented Manhattan Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a pharmaceutical company that acquires and develops novel, high-value drug candidates primarily for the treatment of dermatologic and immunologic disorders, in exclusive license and option agreement associated with endocapsular vortex emulsification technology, a method of liquefying the eye lens with a high-speed rotary impeller for cataract removal.
- Represented Nanocopoeia, Inc., in licensing proprietary processes for delivering advanced coatings for the medical device and pharmaceutical industries for key market sectors such as cardiovascular diseases, orthopedics, neurology and tissue engineering.
- Represented Hana Biosciences, Inc., a California-based biopharmaceutical company, in connection with: (i) prosecution of its trademark portfolio; and (ii) various sophisticated patent license agreements for the development and commercialization of pharmaceutical preparations for use in the treatment of cancer.
- Represented First Circle Medical, Inc. in: (i) acquisition of patents related to perfusion hyperthermia; and (ii) research, development and commercialization agreement with DEKA Research and Development Corporation for method of extracorporeal heating a patient’s blood for the purpose of triggering an immune response as a means of treating and/or curing certain diseases.
- Negotiation of exclusive manufacturing and supply agreements on behalf of a major medical products company involving worldwide sales and distribution rights to a cardiovascular resuscitation device.
- Negotiation of an interrelated series of complex product license research and transition services agreement involving more than seventy patents held by six oncology research organizations, including two domestic and one international research university granting exclusive, worldwide rights to the development, manufacture and sale of cancer therapies.
- Represented software and consulting providers in their agreements with hospitals and other health care providers.
- Represented client with respect to its on-site clinic and whether the clinic operated as a covered “health plan” and/or “healthcare provider” as defined by the HIPAA, including its executive wellness program.
- Represented start-up company in the development and licensing of products for the treatment of diabetes through both electronic and brick and mortar retailers/channels.
- Represented Acuo Technologies, LLC, a company specializing in the creation of high-performance software for intelligent medical image management, storage and migration, in a wide variety of partnership and licensing relationships within the healthcare industry, including IBM Corporation and EMC Corporation.
- Represented Vascular Imaging Corporation, a Delaware corporation with its principal offices located in California, in collaboration agreements for applications for interventional catheters and guide wires incorporating imaging devices, small enough to be inserted into the human vasculature.
