Hedge and Venture Capital Funds
- Our lawyers worked with a Twin Cities based venture-capital fund which invests in environmental and technology companies in the Upper Midwest. In addition to general counseling, preparation of fund documents and offering memoranda and materials, we also helped structure some of the fund's investments in its portfolio companies.
- Maslon lawyers worked with a local venture-capital fund that raised $1.8 million in 2001. The fund concentrates on companies in the medical and technology industries in the Upper Midwest. Its predecessor fund, Portage Equity Investments LLC, was organized in 1998 and invested in a number of Minnesota-based companies.
- Maslon lawyers worked with a New York City based global venture-capital fund that focuses on the medical technology and device sectors. Our lawyers represented the fund in negotiating terms and conditions with a major investor, prepared the fund's organizational documents, and counseled the fund during its preparation of offering documents and materials. The fund is currently engaged in raising $100 million in capital.
