Susan Link to Present on Wills for Hereos at 2008 Pro Bono Conference
Susan Link will present on Wills for Heroes at the 2008 Pro Bono Conference. The conference, sponsored by the National Federation of Paralegal Associations, Inc. (NFPA) and NFPA's Pro Bono Committee, is scheduled on May 9-10, 2008 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Susan serves as program director for Wills for Heroes Minnesota. The program, sponsored by the Minnesota State Bar Association, is designed to provide free legal services to prepare basic estate planning documents for Minnesota First Responders. First Responders include: police officers; firefighters; paramedics; EMTs; and corrections officers (in addition to the spouses or widow/widowers of such personnel).
In addition to Susan's presentation, topics will include pro bono ethics, building a pro bono movement, getting a student population involved, pro bono vs. community service, and the NFPA 24-hour Pro Bono Commitment.
