Larry Purdy to Present on Diversity at United States Naval Academy
Maslon attorney, Larry Purdy, will present a program on diversity at the United States Naval Academy, on March 1, 2012. His presentation, titled "A Focus on ‘Diversity': What Are the Implications for Our Military?" will be given to the Legal, Ethics & Leadership Department, and the Political Science Department, and will address the recent report issued by the Military Leadership Diversity Commission which recommends a uniform definition of "diversity" be adopted by each of the separate service branches. Larry will focus on the language of the Commission's recommended definition of "diversity" and will offer views on the appropriateness and potential impact of the Commission's suggested policy changes.
Larry Purdy is a member of Maslon's Product Liability and Mass Tort Litigation group specializing in the defense of major medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers in complex, nation-wide product litigation. Prior to attending law school, he served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy after graduating from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. (View full bio.)
