The Maslon Financial Services Team regularly represents indenture trustees in connection with the exercise of their fiduciary duties under the Trust Indenture Act or applicable state law following the occurrence of an event of default. Maslon's experience extends to all types of corporate debt issues and municipal bond transactions. The amounts involved range from several million dollars to more than $1 billion. In representing indenture trustees, Maslon lawyers regularly participate on unsecured creditors' committees in significant corporate bankruptcy reorganizations, working closely with counsel to the creditors' committee and financial advisors in structuring and evaluating plans of reorganization and other issues on behalf of bondholders.

Maslon attorneys have also participated in the negotiation of prearranged Chapter 11 bankruptcy plans of reorganization, and in the resolution of indenture defaults outside of bankruptcy through bondholder consents and tender offers.
