Brad Pederson My summer at Maslon was better than I could imagine. The firm's holistic approach to its summer program resonated with all of the summer associates, providing a glimpse into the cohesive culture of the firm. The directors of the summer program are more concerned with your interactions at the firm than your billable hours. This past summer I have done the following: attended a Saint's game, seen The Great Gatsby at the new Guthrie Theatre, attempted to water-ski (albeit unsuccessfully), played on the Maslon softball team, and been to countless dinners and luncheons. Through these functions, I met every attorney at the firm. To culminate the Maslon experience, I was invited to the Maslon retreat, where I spent a weekend golfing and interacting with all the attorneys at Maslon. The summer program gives you the best of both worlds: it is informal enough to provide you with the type of activities you are interested in, yet there is the proper level of oversight to ensure your summer is not spent in the library. The program allows you to follow your interests, and the firm is large enough to have projects in nearly every area imaginable. There are no concrete practice groups, or requirements that every summer associate does work in every practice area. The summer is truly what you want it to be. My experience at Maslon was much more than I could have hoped for. It is a top-notch firm full of great people and talent. <<previous | next>> |
