Howard Tarkow Recognized as an MSBA Board Certified Labor and Employment Law Specialist
Maslon is pleased to announce the recognition of Howard Tarkow as a Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA) Board Certified Labor and Employment Law Specialist. The certified specialist designation is earned by leading attorneys who have completed a rigorous approval process, including an examination in the specialty area, peer review, and documented experience. Certified attorneys have demonstrated superior knowledge, skill and integrity in their specific field and can use the designation of specialist to advertise their credentials. This achievement has been earned by fewer than 3% of all licensed Minnesota attorneys.
Howard's law practice focuses on representing employers on their workplace issues and concerns. For almost 30 years, he has advised Maslon's business and non-profit clients to help them maintain positive employee relations and minimize the risk of expensive and disruptive legal claims. Howard's litigation practice includes representing employers before judges, juries, and arbitrators. He also represents employers in matters involving unions, including at the National Labor Relations Board, in grievance and arbitration cases, at the collective bargaining table, and in labor campaigns.
The MSBA has been accredited as an independent professional organization for certifying attorneys as Criminal Law Specialists, Real Property Law Specialists, Civil Trial Law Specialists, and Labor and Employment Law Specialists. This new Certification program is administered by the MSBA and approved by the State Board of Legal Certification.
