Virginia Bell Named Chair of Eminent Domain Section of HCBA
Virginia Bell, the Chair of Maslon's Real Estate Litigation group, was recently elevated to Chair of the Eminent Domain Section of the Hennepin County Bar Association for 2009-2010. She had previously served as that section's Vice Chair.
Bell has over 25 years of experience litigating business and commercial disputes in both state and federal courts. She has particular skill litigating real estate disputes and, as a result, she regularly represents businesses and property owners in condemnation matters, taking claims, real estate tax appeals, commercial leasing, development, real estate financing, title, zoning and land use disputes. She also represents lenders in foreclosures, receiverships, lien actions and in defending lender liability disputes.
Bell is a Founding Member of the Minnesota Eminent Domain Institute and a past Condemnation Commissioner for both Hennepin and Carver Counties.
