Minnesota employs two standard recording systems for real property, known respectively as the abstract and Torrens systems. Abstract property can be converted to Torrens property under either a judicial registration or a registration without court proceedings. While each type of registration has its advantages, judicial registration is most commonly used to clear title issues to abstract property.

When our clients find it necessary or desirable to register property, our extensive experience with registrations is an advantage in this cumbersome process. We are ready to advise any client on the relative merits and disadvantages to undertaking a registration proceeding.
