The seminar covers many of the topics in the new edition of the Business Disputes: Claims and Remedies Deskbook, to which Bill, Haley, and Leora contributed chapters, and all seminar attendees will receive the new edition of the Deskbook.

During the morning, Bill Pentelovitch will present a session titled, "Using and Defending Noncompetes," where he will discuss how to assist clients in using noncompetes in business settings as well as defending noncompetes in business litigation.

Immediately following, Haley Schaffer and Leora Maccabee will co-present a session titled, "What's New in Minnesota Unfair Trade Practices Law?" where they will share a few important changes to Minnesota law on false and misleading advertising and deceptive trade practices. Additionally, they will offer a bit of Unfair Trade Practices 101 for those new to the area or in need of a refresher.

Bill Pentelovitch is a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and has practiced exclusively in the area of business-related disputes for over 40 years. He is considered both a leading authority and a leading trial lawyer in Minnesota in the area of ownership and governance disputes in corporations, partnerships of all kinds, and limited liability companies. In addition to his substantial practice in the areas of business ownership and governance and non-competes, trade secrets, and unfair competition, Bill handles breach of contract, fraud, antitrust, securities, banking, and intellectual property trials.

Haley Schaffer is a partner in Maslon's Litigation Group and member of Maslon's Appellate Practice Group, where she focuses her practice on business litigation.
