JoLynn Markison is a member of Maslon's litigation group. She received her bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, in psychology from the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota. JoLynn received her law degree, summa cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was a member and executive editor of the William Mitchell Law Review and authored a note on constitutional law and Minnesota's 2004 proposed same-sex marriage amendment. In addition, she also participated in a district court externship. Prior to joining Maslon, JoLynn worked as a counselor for Eckerd Youth Alternatives and as a foster care and child protection case aide for Scott County.
