Joel Sommers is a member of Maslon's Estate Planning Group and practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, and trust administration. He works with individuals and families to plan the disposition of their assets, both during lifetime and at death, to accomplish the optimal personal and tax planning through wills, trusts, and other instruments. Joel works with public charities and private foundations to achieve their goals and purposes through grants and program-related investments while maintaining tax-exempt status. Joel also represents clients in employee benefits and executive compensation matters, helping to design and implement retirement plans, welfare plans, and compensation arrangements that maximize tax and non-tax benefits for business owners, executives, and companies.
