Shauro Bagchi Presents as Guest Lecturer on the Legal Aspects of Advertising for the University of Minnesota

Shauro Bagchi, member of Maslon's Advertising & Marketing Group, recently served as a guest lecturer for the University of Minnesota to present a program titled "Advertising: A Legal Lens." Shauro's presentation provided an overview of key terms in the advertising law space, a description of the master services agreement and statement of work structure for advertising engagements, a discussion of the legal issues attendant to advertising: intellectual property, confidentiality, data and logo/mark ownership and "Works made for hire" under copyright law.
Shauro Bagchi is the lead associate in Maslon's Advertising & Marketing Group and a member of its Business & Securities Group, focusing his practice primarily in general commercial contract drafting in advertising transactions, national and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and intellectual property and business counseling. Shauro devotes the majority of his practice to negotiating and drafting advertising and marketing agreements involving media buys, commercial production of advertising assets, licensing of intellectual property, sponsorships, logistics, social media campaigns, customer relationship management, and a host of other topics at the intersection of law, advertising, and business.
