Application Support Specialist

Reports To: Information Technology Manager

Position Description:

Responsible for delivering exemplary level of service to end users by supporting the Firm’s standard image, core application suite and general computing environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support of the Firm’s core application suite, operating system and general computing environment including Windows 10, Office 365, NetDocuments and PowerPDF.
  • Provides proactive support and consultative guidance to Attorneys and Staff on best practices for using the firm’s core technology tools.
  • Escalation point for advanced application/system issues and escalates as needed to other team members.
  • Identify and recommend technology, process and policy improvements to achieve and deliver higher quality service and best practices for using the Firm’s technology.
  • Assists with the evaluation, selection and implementation of new desktop application products by assisting in software rollouts, pilot programs and building launch materials as to support the rollout of new software applications.
  • Develop and maintain application documentation, including, but not limited to, Configuration Guides, Application Design Guides, Frequently Asked Questions list, Knowledge Base articles; provide consultation to the training team on associated end-user documentation.
  • Assists in the administration of the Firm’s file sharing, document management system, intranet and extranet.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a law firm setting or in software support, integration, testing and deployment with an emphasis on maintaining and supporting Windows desktop environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Microsoft Office 365, NetDocuments, PowerPDF, Workshare, Intapp Open & Conflicts, VMware Horizon Virtual desktops and Windows 10 preferred).
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal communication and analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter.
