Brad Pederson Selected as a 2022 Diversity and Inclusion Honoree by Minnesota Lawyer
August 22, 2022
Maslon is pleased to announce that Brad Pederson, a partner in Maslon's Corporate & Securities Group, has been named a 2022 Diversity and Inclusion honoree by Minnesota Lawyer. The award recognizes attorneys and organizations who are significantly advancing diversity, inclusion, and the dignity of all people in Minnesota’s legal profession and in communities in which exceptional legal work impacts justice.
Brad has distinguished himself as an extraordinary leader who not only provides dedicated legal counsel to business clients but readily steps up to champion DEI initiatives both in the legal profession and for the broader community. In particular, Brad serves on the board of directors and program committee and previously chaired the governance committee of Achieve Twin Cities, the strategic nonprofit partner of Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS), which rallies community support to inspire and equip underrepresented Minneapolis students for careers, college, and life. He also regularly volunteers with LegalCORPS, a nonprofit organization promoting pro bono legal services for low-income businesses and nonprofits—many of which are led by people of color. Brad is an engaged member of Maslon's Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee and played a significant role in establishing Maslon's Diverse Attorneys Resource Group.
In his legal work, Brad represents manufacturers, contractors, technology, entertainment, and retail businesses in venture formations, raising capital, corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, public reporting and general corporate matters. He has a varied client base and enjoys working with businesses at different points of their life cycles. Brad works with entrepreneurs and dynamic startups to develop scalable business models and corporate structures for growth and raising capital. He also works with established businesses to raise capital in the private and capital markets, continue to grow organically and through strategic acquisitions, and to realize exit events.
