Leora Maccabee Selected as a Recipient of a 2014 Natan/NEXT Grant for Social Entrepreneurs

August 18, 2014

Maslon is pleased to announce that Leora Maccabee, member of Maslon’s Litigation Group, has been selected as a recipient of a 2014 Natan/NEXT Grant for Social Entrepreneurs. Leora is one of three recipients of these grants, which are designed to support ongoing cultural, spiritual, educational, service, and community-building projects run by young Jewish adults for their peers.

The grant was given to Leora for her work with TC Jewfolk, an independent, entrepreneurial start-up using social media and community-based journalism to connect, engage, and inspire young Jews in Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Leora is the founder of TC Jewfolk and Chair of the Board of Directors for Jewfolk Media, its parent nonprofit organization.

Leora Maccabee is a member of Maslon's Litigation Group and practices in the areas of general business, construction, and tort & product liability litigation. During law school, Leora clerked for United States District Court Judge John R. Tunheim; the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Minnesota; and the American Civil Liberties Union, Minnesota Chapter.
