Overview

Matthew Resch is an associate in Maslon's Corporate & Securities Group with over a decade of experience serving clients nationally and internationally in entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, SEC filings and compliance, general counsel services, real estate transactions, and intellectual property concerns. Matt also presents and advises on emerging technology in a variety of subject matters, including developments in blockchain, cryptocurrency, and NFTs.

In recent years, he has successfully guided founders of an oil and gas startup, advised businesses on capital investment matters, and developed a compliance strategy for a med-tech firm seeking multiple U.S. and foreign investors.

Matt's expertise is informed by several years of in-house practice, after which he built his own successful firm providing outside general counsel services, including coordination of asset sales and due diligence efforts for business investments. He particularly enjoys working closely with business clients across a broad range of corporate law matters to help them achieve their goals.

Matt earned his law degree at Hamline University School of Law, where he served on the law review and excelled at moot court. While studying for his degree, he also interned for Minnesota Court of Appeals Judge Jim Randall and gained international legal experience through an externship with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Rome.
