   <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Andy Jacobson</strong>, an attorney in Maslon&rsquo;s Real Estate Group, once again shares his expertise with an upcoming generation of lawyers as he teaches two classes at the University of Minnesota Law School. Andy will teach both Real Estate Transactions and Land Use Planning at the University of Minnesota Law School in fall 2024.</p>

<p>Andy&rsquo;s practice covers a broad range of real estate issues, with a particular focus in commercial and retail/restaurant property matters, including purchase and sale, leasing, design, and construction-related agreements. He has taught real estate law for over 20 years.</p>

<p>A graduate of Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley, Andy is also a licensed architect, having earned his Bachelor&#39;s of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, and he practiced architecture prior to attending law school.</p>

   <description><![CDATA[<p>Maslon&nbsp;is pleased to announce the addition of real estate finance attorney <strong>Jill Petrovic</strong> to the firm.</p>

<p>Jill represents borrowers and lenders in commercial lending and clients in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including drafting and negotiating loan documentation, title and survey review, commercial leasing, and review of due diligence materials. She has honed her skills through closing a multitude of loan transactions, as well as drafting and negotiating multiple office/warehouse leases and amendments, purchase and sale agreements, and traditional lending documents.</p>

<p>During law school at the University of St. Thomas, Jill gained valuable experience as an extern with the Office of Ethics &amp; Compliance at Medtronic and as a clerk for a small real estate company and then a Twin Cities firm. She also founded the Real Estate Law Association and participated in the law school&#39;s bankruptcy litigation clinic and personal bankruptcy clinic. Jill studied economics, entrepreneurship, and business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.</p>

   <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Jonathan Septer</strong>, a partner and chair of Maslon&rsquo;s Real Estate Group, has been appointed to the board of the United Heroes League, effective Jan. 1, 2024. As part of his board responsibilities, Jon serves on the Oversight and Finance Committee.</p>

<p>The United Heroes League works to ensure that children of military service members across the U.S. are afforded the opportunity to participate in sports, thereby helping these families heal, build friendships, and engage in their communities. Their new outdoor ice rink in Hastings will host Hockey Day Minnesota in 2026.</p>

<p><strong>Jon</strong> represents owners, investors, lenders, and closely held businesses in connection with all phases of the commercial and agricultural real estate life cycle. In addition to assisting clients with due diligence review&mdash;including loan, title, and survey matters&mdash;he advises clients on acquisitions, sales, and development; mobile home and manufactured housing related matters; land use; loan workout; foreclosures; and environmental issues. Jon&nbsp;also has extensive experience in the agribusiness and manufactured housing industries.</p>

<p><strong>Josh</strong> advises clients on a broad range of corporate and financial transactions. He helps clients with mergers and acquisitions by conducting due diligence, negotiating terms that fit the client&#39;s needs, and drafting documents for business transactions.    <description><![CDATA[Maslon is pleased to announce that <strong>Andy Jacobson</strong>, partner in Maslon's Real Estate Group, has been presented the 2014 Founders' Award by the National Retail Tenants Association (NRTA). The NRTA Founders' Award is given to one member each year in recognition of their distinguished service to the Association, to their respective company, or to their community. <br />
<br />
During the September 9, 2014, presentation, the NRTA stated that Andy "has demonstrated to fellow members that he personifies in his everyday life the spirit of achievement as described by our founders." Andy has been a member of the association since March 2007, an author for <em>Tenants In-Common</em>, as well as a speaker at the NRTA's national conferences for the last seven years.  He has represented businesses in various sectors of restaurant, entertainment, and retail industries in the negotiation of leases, design, and construction agreements related to locations in various settings, including major shopping malls and urban entertainment centers. Andy has also provided pro-bono service for both Habitat for Humanity, and the Parks &amp; Trails Council of Minnesota. <br />
<br />
<strong>Andy Jacobson</strong> is a partner in Maslon's Real Estate Group. His practice covers a broad range of commercial real estate issues, with particular focus on commercial and retail leasing, land use, telecommunications, as well as design and construction-related agreements.
