As part of his board responsibilities, Jon serves on the Oversight and Finance Committee.

The United Heroes League works to ensure that children of military service members across the U.S. are afforded the opportunity to participate in sports, thereby helping these families heal, build friendships, and engage in their communities. Their new outdoor ice rink in Hastings will host Hockey Day Minnesota in 2026.

The NRTA Founders' Award is given to one member each year in recognition of their distinguished service to the Association, to their respective company, or to their community.

During the September 9, 2014, presentation, the NRTA stated that Andy "has demonstrated to fellow members that he personifies in his everyday life the spirit of achievement as described by our founders." Andy has been a member of the association since March 2007, an author for Tenants In-Common, as well as a speaker at the NRTA's national conferences for the last seven years. He has represented businesses in various sectors of restaurant, entertainment, and retail industries in the negotiation of leases, design, and construction agreements related to locations in various settings, including major shopping malls and urban entertainment centers. Andy has also provided pro-bono service for both Habitat for Humanity, and the Parks & Trails Council of Minnesota.

Andy Jacobson is a partner in Maslon's Real Estate Group. His practice covers a broad range of commercial real estate issues, with particular focus on commercial and retail leasing, land use, telecommunications, as well as design and construction-related agreements. Andy is a frequent author and speaker on real estate subjects and teaches Real Estate Transactions at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. A graduate of Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley, Andy is also a former architect, having earned his Bachelors of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, and practiced architecture prior to attending law school. Andy is a member of both the Minnesota and California bars.
