Shawn McIntee and Shauro Bagchi Present CLE for the Association of Corporate Counsel's Minnesota Chapter

Shawn McIntee, partner and chair of Maslon's Technology, IP & Media Group, and group Partner Shauro Bagchi will present a CLE Jan. 26 for the Association of Corporate Counsel's Minnesota chapter. In the presentation, titled "In the Cloud: Legal Issues, Risks, and Considerations," Shawn and Shauro discuss issues and traps for the unwary in connection with contracting for cloud services; topics will include indemnification, data breaches, and security issues. The attorneys will draw from their extensive experience working for software and cloud computing companies and those purchasing such services.

Shawn advises clients across a broad spectrum of legal needs, with particular experience in technology and software transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law, and emerging companies. He represents both advertisers and Fortune 500 companies creating, using, and purchasing technology. Shawn has extensive experience drafting and negotiating complex transactions involving technology and intellectual property rights, including SaaS agreements, hosting agreements, traditional and Agile software development agreements, joint ventures, and license agreements.

Shauro manages, negotiates, and closes national and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, technology and licensing transactions, and capital raising deals. He also provides day-to-day business counseling and related advisory services to his clients, including transaction structuring, technology licensing, and general commercial contract drafting. Shauro has extensive experience working with in-house legal counsel on contracts relating to information technology, licensing, software development, advertising, and other large-scale, complex commercial arrangements.
