Tom Pack Selected as a 2020 "Best LGBTQ+ Lawyer Under 40" by the National LGBT Bar Association

March 4, 2020

Maslon is pleased to announce that Tom Pack, partner in the firm's Litigation Group, has been selected as a 2020 "Best LGBTQ+ Lawyer Under 40" Award winner by the National LGBT Bar Association. Each year, the LGBT Bar recognizes 40 LGBTQ+ legal professionals under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their field and have demonstrated a profound commitment to LGBTQ+ equality. Tom’s selection is further distinguished by what the Bar describes as a “highly competitive year” with nearly 90 candidates. Honorees will be recognized at the 2020 Lavender Law Conference and Career Fair in Washington D.C.

Tom [pronouns: he/him/his] represents businesses in product liability matters, intellectual property disputes, internal investigations, and in other complex business litigation. He helps clients navigate all stages of the litigation process throughout many forums, including federal and state courts, mediation, and arbitration.

Tom is a vocal member of and fierce advocate for the LGBTQ+ and diverse communities as a whole. He has an active pro bono practice in immigration and civil rights litigation, with particular focus on representing LGBTQ+ individuals seeking to stay in the U.S. after fleeing severe anti-LGBTQ+ persecution spanning Guatemala, Nigeria, El Salvador, Cameroon, Mexico, Honduras, and the Middle East. Tom is a member of Maslon's Diversity & Inclusion Committee and co-chairs Maslon's Diverse Attorneys' Resource Group. He also serves on the Young Lawyers Committee of the National Native American Bar Association, and in the Emerging Leaders Group for Twin Cities Diversity in Practice. Tom was recently recognized as a 2019 Attorney of the Year by Minnesota Lawyer for his work on LGBTQ+ Asylum Matters.
