Overview

Julia Richards is an associate supporting Maslon’s transactional groups who represents clients in a wide variety of transactional matters, including business formation, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, real estate financing, and general corporate law. She is committed to learning what matters to her clients and helping them attain their goals.

While studying for her law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law, Julia wrote for the Iowa Law Review and clerked for the Iowa Court of Appeals, where she researched and reviewed case law, drafted complex opinions, and prepared memoranda and briefs for judges. She earned her bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication and sport studies from the University of Iowa, working as an assistant news director and sports reporter for the Daily Iowan Television.

When she is not working, Julia enjoys puzzles, science fiction novels, and rooting for the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Green Bay Packers.
