Susan Link and Mark Baumann Named "Twin Cities 2010 FIVE STAR Wealth Managers" in Twin Cities Business Magazine

January 27, 2010

Maslon attorneys Susan Link and Mark Baumann are recognized as "Twin Cities' 2010 FIVE STAR Wealth Managers" in the January 2010 issue of Twin Cities Business. Those selected for the elite list scored the highest in client satisfaction and represent less than 6 percent of the wealth managers in the Twin Cities area. Link was recognized for her Estate Planning services and Baumann was selected in the area of Taxation.

The 2010 list is based on an intensive survey process of over 35,000 high-net-worth residents in the Twin Cities area and subscribers of Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine and Twin Cities Business, as well as a survey of financial service industry leaders. Recipients of the survey were asked to evaluate only wealth managers they knew based on the following nine criteria: customer service, integrity, knowledge/expertise, communication, value for fee charged, meeting of financial objectives, post-sale service, quality of recommendations and overall satisfaction. Before finalizing, candidates were reviewed by a blue-ribbon panel comprised of individuals from the financial services industry. View full details on the selection process.

Susan Link is head of Maslon's Estate Planning Group and practices in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration. She is regularly involved in the analysis and issues of lifetime gifting programs, estate tax planning and generation-skipping issues. Link is a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, program director for Minnesota Wills for Heroes, and has taught as an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law.

Mark Baumann is a partner in Maslon's Business & Securities Group. His practice is primarily tax-related, including employee benefits, executive compensation, tax planning and tax disputes, partnerships, joint ventures, limited liability companies, other closely held businesses, professional firms and tax-exempt organizations.
