David Suchar to Chair and Jason Lien to Present for The Network of Trial Law Firms' Litigation Management Seminar

April 19, 2018

David Suchar and Jason Lien, partners in Maslon's Litigation Group, will take the podium for The Network of Trial Law Firms' Litigation Management Program in Laguna Beach, California, April 19-22, 2018. David serves as chair of the program, which is a concentrated curriculum designed for in-house counsel managing litigation. Jason will moderate a panel, titled "Charting a Course Into the Future Practice of Law," which will explore what the future practice of law looks like from the general counsel perspective, what the implications are for outside counsel, and how outside counsel can effectively serve their clients in the future legal market.

David, chair of Maslon's Construction & Real Estate Litigation Group and co-chair of the firm's Government & Internal Investigations Group, is a skilled trial attorney, regularly representing clients in construction and insurance coverage disputes, other commercial litigation, and government and internal investigations. His construction experience includes defect, payment, and lien claims in addition to all manner of construction-related insurance coverage claims, negotiations, and litigation. As a former federal prosecutor, David has also counseled and represented clients at trial and through all aspects of various government, administrative, and internal investigations, including criminal prosecutions, inquiries, and subpoenas from state and federal agencies.

Jason, vice chair of the Firm's Governance Committee, focuses his litigation practice on representing clients from the construction, real estate, financial services, and food industries. He also frequently represents policyholders in insurance coverage and bad faith disputes. Prior to joining Maslon in 2002, Jason honed his trial and appellate skills as a Naval Officer with the United States Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps, where he led hundreds of courts-martial, administrative hearings, and military appeals. Jason regularly appears in federal and state court on behalf of design-build firms, general contractors, architects, engineers, specialty contractors, property management companies, real estate owners, and lenders.
