Maslon Recognized in "Best Law Firm" Rankings by U.S. News and Best Lawyers

September 21, 2010

Maslon Edelman Borman & Brand, LLP is recognized as a "Tier 1" "Best Law Firm" for General Commercial Litigation in Minneapolis in the just-released 2010 Best Law Firms rankings by U. S. News Media Group and Best Lawyers. Maslon is also nationally ranked for General Commercial Litigation and locally ranked for Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law, and Trusts & Estates Law.

In addition to the firm's high ranking, four individual Maslon attorneys, Mark Baumann, David Herr, William Pentelovitch and Mary Vasaly, were recognized earlier this year with top rankings in the new 2010 edition of Best Lawyers in America. Herr, Mullin and Pentelovitch have the additional distinction of being "top-listed" for more than 10 consecutive years by the publication.

Best Lawyers is the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession. U. S. News Media Group is a multi-platform publisher of news and analysis, including the U. S. News & World Report magazine. The rankings are a result of responses to national surveys in which major clients and leading lawyers were asked to rate the law firms they consider best in their practice area. These survey responses were combined with more than 3.1 million evaluations of individual lawyers in the most recent Best Lawyers survey of leading lawyers. Achieving a high ranking is a special distinction that signals a unique combination of excellence and breadth of expertise.
