Imposter No More! Confident Communication for Attorneys
July 23, 2025
Maslon’s Women & Nonbinary Attorney Group is hosting a training on imposter syndrome, facilitated by Judith Gordon, a former practicing attorney, current faculty at UCLA law, and a professional coach. The training is scheduled for Wednesday, July 23, 12-1 p.m.
“Imposter!” said no one to you ever. Yet we’re plagued by nagging thoughts of self-doubt, inner criticism, and imagined terrible possible outcomes. These unbidden thoughts are psychological constructs designed to keep us “safe,” yet they can literally sabotage our efforts, interfere with the trajectory of our careers, and cause us to miss out on business or professional development opportunities, because our discomfort overrides our courage.
This interactive experience offers a crash course in emotional intelligence, leaving you with tools to:
- debunk your imposter tendencies/beliefs;
- override unsupportive thinking patterns that interfere with our confidence and career progress;
- build trust and resilience; and
- cultivate confidence, courage, and self-efficacy.
Additionally, those responsible for leading others will gain perspective on how to prevent imposter beliefs within their teams and instead contribute to a culture of trust, confidence, and resilience.
