Julian Zebot Honored With Grinnell College 2022 Alumni Award

February 10, 2022

Julian Zebot, a partner in Maslon's Litigation Group, has been selected to receive Grinnell College's 2022 Alumni Award. The award recognizes individuals who embody Grinnell College’s mission of lifetime learning and service. Nominated by their classmates and peers, recipients have distinguished themselves by their service to their careers, their community, and/or the college.

The alumni council noted that Julian, a probate and trust law expert and chair of Maslon's Pro Bono Committee, is known for his commitment to underserved populations in need of legal representation. "A case in point is Julian’s diligent work to vacate the death row sentence of a man in Texas," the council wrote. It also called out the Minnesota Supreme Court's appointment of Julian to serve on the Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board.

Julian and his fellow recipients will be celebrated June 4 during Grinnell's 2022 reunion.

In addition, Julian is a fellow with the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and he serves as co-chair of the Ethics and Malpractice Committee of the American Bar Association's Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section. This year, he was appointed president-elect of the Minnesota chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
