Marketing Coordinator
Maslon LLP is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to serve as Marketing Coordinator in the firm’s Minneapolis office. Position Description:
The Marketing Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the firm’s events and sponsorships, communications, use of marketing technology, and various other projects in support of the firm’s business development and profile-raising goals. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing & Business Development and works closely with the firm’s Senior Marketing Communications Manager, Business Development Manager, and other team members.
Primary Responsibilities:
Events & Sponsorships. Assist with planning and execution of client-facing events, seminars, and sponsorships. Collaborate with the firm’s Facilities team for on-site events and serve as the primary logistics contact for off-site events. Coordinate vendors and process invoices. Create invitations and other event materials, track and manage RSVPs, and support event follow-up.
Email Marketing. Use the firm’s email marketing platform (Concep) to create campaigns for events, client alerts, newsletters, and other firm communications. Monitor bounce reports and changes to user preferences, ensure proper syncing with CRM, and provide basic metrics on campaign performance.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Collaborate with the firm’s Data Steward to maintain the firm’s CRM system (InterAction) for marketing and business development purposes. Update marketing lists for events and other communications. Help attorneys keep their client and prospect contact records up to date. Support initiatives related to the firm’s improved utilization of CRM and its various features.
Content and Graphics Support. Assist with updating marketing collateral and the firm website, including attorney biographies, practice pages, and news. Assist with publishing content on social media. Use the firm’s brand templates to create basic graphics for social media, email, and PowerPoint presentations. Help maintain the firm’s experience database of matters and deals to streamline pitches and proposals.
Competitive Intelligence Research. Develop a basic understanding of the firm’s various research platforms and support attorney requests for company backgrounders, litigation history, and other competitive intelligence for business development purposes.
Promotional Items. Coordinate with vendors to maintain the firm’s inventory of branded items.
Sports Tickets. Coordinate with attorneys on their use of firm’s season tickets for business development purposes.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience is required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: At least one year of professional experience is required, preferably in marketing or communications; experience in a professional services firm is a plus.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail. Work product that is consistently accurate and error-free.
- Organization: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Initiative: Responsive, reliable, and a self-starter, who takes direction well but requires minimal supervision. Ability to execute effectively in a hybrid remote/in-office environment.
- Professionalism: Ability to work effectively with attorneys and senior professionals. Service-oriented demeanor and commitment to confidentiality.
- Technology: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Quick learner with regards to new technology. Experience with CRM systems and email marketing platforms a plus.
- Graphics: Some graphic design experience—as well as familiarity with programs like Canva or Adobe (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)—a plus.
- Flexibility: Willingness to provide on-site support for events outside normal business hours, with the ability to flex schedule accordingly.

The firm’s expected hiring range for this position is $28.20 - $33.33 /hour depending on the candidate’s experience, skills, educational and professional background, and overall qualifications.
