Maslon Named Law Firm of the Year by Meritas for Advancing Women Lawyers

Maslon is pleased to announce it has been recognized for its commitment to advancing women lawyers with a Meritas Women’s Leadership Award: Firm of the Year. Meritas, a premier global alliance of 172 independent business law firms throughout the world, presented the award this week at the 2024 Meritas Annual General Meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“The Meritas Women’s Leadership Awards recognize remarkable female talent, their supporters, and firms from across the Meritas network that bring women to the fore,” said Keiko Sugisaka, Maslon board chair. “We thank Meritas for providing a platform to celebrate the outstanding leadership and achievements demonstrated by women leaders, future leaders, and allies across the world, and we are so proud Maslon received this global recognition.”

The Firm of the Year award recognizes Maslon for supporting and nurturing women in the legal industry; realizing and recognizing the talents of women within the firm; and demonstrating innovation to enabling younger women lawyers to fulfill their professional objectives.

The inaugural Meritas Women’s Leadership Awards was created by the Meritas Women’s Leadership Congress to further the network’s commitment to diversity and inclusion by creating a community that celebrates the path to leadership for member firm women lawyers. The congress creates visibility, knowledge sharing, mentorship, and skills building to support women’s professional legal careers. It also promotes exchange among member firms to further diversity and inclusion in recruiting and retaining top talent, developing business, and elevating women leaders. All award submissions were reviewed, and winners chosen, by a global panel of peers and industry experts.
