Maslon Participates in AchieveMpls STEP-UP Summer Internship Program

June 29, 2016

Maslon is proud to participate in the STEP-UP Achieve Jobs Program, providing two paid internships throughout the summer. The STEP-UP program is part of AchieveMpls, the strategic nonprofit partner of Minneapolis Public Schools dedicated to closing the achievement gap by preparing inner-city students to meet challenges and accomplish their dreams of college, meaningful work, and a bright future.

Each year the STEP-UP program places 800 Minneapolis youth in paid internships with 160 top Twin Cities companies, nonprofits, and public agencies, providing work readiness training, on-the-job experience, professional mentors, advanced career opportunities, and ongoing support. As one of the country's premiere youth employment programs, STEP-UP Achieve has provided over 8,000 internship opportunities since 2004.

Along with active support of the STEP-UP Achieve Jobs Program, Maslon is celebrating its 60th anniversary by making a five-year $60,000 financial commitment to AchieveMpls—because helping the next generation succeed is the best investment we can make in our community.
