Maslon Recognized Among Best Legacy Law Firms by Minnesota Lawyer

June 23, 2025

Maslon is pleased to announce it has been named among the Best Legacy Law Firms in Minnesota by Minnesota Lawyer.

The award recognizes law firms that have shown prolonged success and an ability to successfully navigate changing client needs, legal developments, technology, economic environments, and more. In addition to meeting benchmarks related to size, years of operation, and being based in Minnesota, selected firms have demonstrated steady growth, strong employee support programs and morale, and consistent community engagement.

Founded in 1946, Maslon is among the largest full-service law firms in Minnesota, but one of few to resist merger with a national firm. Our decision to remain independent has preserved our distinct culture and our ability to provide clients with responsive service, judicious staffing, and competitive rates. After nearly 80 years of practice, collaboration, mutual respect, and community involvement remain our cornerstones.

Recognizing that our attorneys and staff are individuals with families and personal lives that must be nurtured, Maslon carefully balances providing excellent client service with supporting the well-being of firm members. We are known for our flexible approach to serving clients and supporting employees, adopting new technologies and a hybrid work environment in recent years for greater efficiency. Maslon is also deeply embedded in the Twin Cities community, supporting a wide range of causes and allowing attorneys to count up to 100 hours of pro bono work towards their billable goals.
