Super Lawyers and Rising Stars are selected using a multiphase process. Peer nominations and evaluations are combined with independent research. Each candidate is evaluated on the following 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement: verdicts and settlements, transactions, representative clients, experience, honors and awards, special licenses and certifications, position within law firm, bar and/or other professional activity, pro bono and community service, scholarly lectures and writings, education and employment background, and other outstanding achievements. Selections are made on an annual, state-by-state basis. View full details on the selection process.
