Pro Bono Law Clerk
Maslon LLP is looking to hire a volunteer Pro Bono Law Clerk to work under the supervision of Maslon attorneys on a variety of litigation and transactional pro bono matters at the firm. Specific assignments will vary; however, historically the law firm has handled such pro bono matters as: legal research and drafting amicus briefs on civil rights matters, death penalty work, immigration, orders for protection, asylum applications, Wills for Heroes, housing, and legal assistance to small/low-income businesses and nonprofits.
This is a volunteer (unpaid), part-time position (approximately 10 hours per week), working in a hybrid environment (although fully remote is an option), and candidates must be law students in the 2024-2025 academic year. The position will begin in the fall and continue for the remainder of the academic semester. A year-long (fall and spring semester) commitment is preferred. In the past, some students have been able to convert this position to an academic externship for credit in the second semester.
Interested candidates should submit their cover letter, resume, law school transcript, and a writing sample to Angie Roell, Director of Legal Talent, at angie.roell@maslon.com.
