Joining a new firm as a lateral attorney is a nerve-wracking experience, but I quickly felt at home at Maslon. I came to Maslon after a few years working as an associate at large, national law firms, primarily in defense of product liability litigation. After relocating to the Minneapolis legal market, I was initially drawn to Maslon by its reputation for superb products liability defense work. As I continued to research firms and participate in countless informational interviews, this interest was cemented by the warmth and generosity of the Maslon attorneys with whom I met. Taking the lateral leap of faith, I joined the firm in 2016.

I could not have landed in a better spot. As an associate at Maslon, I was able to work on the same types of product liability matters I previously defended at a prior firm, but I played a much more integral role. Because of Maslon's nimble and collaborative nature, I worked independently on many matters, gaining real, substantive experience while enjoying the support and resources of a much larger team. In addition to the practical opportunities I received, the level of access to information and strategic decision-making available to me at Maslon was central to my professional development as an attorney.

To me, the best part about Maslon is its commitment to its attorneys.
